  1. JohnnyV, What a nice idea... quotes are great and help so much when you need a booster! I have a positive quote e-mailed to me everyday from Cyber Nation. Starts the day off well! Failures, repeated failures, are finger posts on the road to achievement. One fails forward toward success. *Charles F. Kettering (1876-1958, American Engineer, Inventor) When you give away a little piece of your heart, you're giving away the only thing you can give away, which, after you do, you got more left than you had before you gave some of it away. *Don Hutson (American Sales Trainer) Apparent failure may hold in its rough shell the germs of a success that will blossom in time, and bear fruit throughout eternity. *Frances Ellen Watkins Harper
  2. I just found this notice at the Entertainment Tonight site, usually a reliable source... "SIR PAUL McCARTNEY, 60, and his wife HEATHER MILLS McCARTNEY are expecting their first baby together, the couple said in a statement. Heather married the former Beatle last June in a lavish ceremony at an Irish castle after a three-year romance. The baby will be the first for Heather, who is reportedly due later this year. Paul is already dad to three adult children, MARY, STELLA and JAMES, with his first wife LINDA, and stepdad to Linda's daughter, HEATHER." After everything she has been through and the worries about her not being able to conceive, I think this is just the most fabulous news ever! I wish her much enjoyment of this special time in her life! CONGRATULATIONS!! This is from the Mirror HEATHER MILLS McCARTNEY IS PREGNANT May 28 2003 Delighted Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney is to become a father again, it was announced today. The star's wife Heather is pregnant with the couple's first baby expected later this year. The couple released a statement saying: "We are delighted with this happy news." Sir Paul married former model Heather Mills, who lost a leg in a motorbike crash, at an Irish castle in June 2002. The former Beatle, 60, already has three adult children Stella, Mary and James, and a stepdaughter, Heather, from his marriage to his first wife Linda McCartney, who died in 1998 from breast cancer. It will be 34-year-old Heather's first child. The pregnancy comes as no surprise as the couple have been trying for a child since they got married. Just three months ago Heather told Michael Parkinson on TV that it was diffcult for her to get pregnant. She said: "They said I'd been pregnant, which is really hurtful, knowing that I've had cancer of the uterus and two ectopic pregnancies. "The chances of me getting pregnant are about that much (holding up her thumb and finger an inch apart) and I'm sure for any woman out there it's hard enough when your family keeps saying 'When are you going to have a baby, then?', never mind the whole world keeps saying 'Oh, she's pregnant this week'." 4. Hey Brenda, How was the weather? Shaved a bit off your time...how do you feel? Exhausted? Is it getting easier? Do you do anything to keep yourself focused on the end? Must get rough in the last bit, do you have a mantra or something to help you make that last extra push? Nicely done, Lark

Hey Johnny V, You are everywhere! I don't post often but I'm reading. I appreciate how much you do to keep things running smoothly. All the improvements, information, the thoughts you share are really appreciated. Great stuff! Stay real, Lark "To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a little better; whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is the meaning of success." -Ralph Waldo Emerson
  6. Hi Brenda, LOL on the kid staring! You know that being visible and active is the best role modeling you can do! Congratulations on your time...did you feel the wind or was it all Brenda powered motion? You inspire me to try harder, thanks for sharing your stories. Always lurking around somewhere, Lark
  7. Hi Brenda, You are terrific...I am in awe! I kind of have a wishbone where my backbone should be about exercise and all that entails. I hope you feel the wind at your back often. All the best, Lark
  8. Hi Brenda, I was wondering what motivated you to begin running? Do you know people who are into it and suggested it to you or is this an interest you developed and just decided to start doing marathons? I'm not an amputee but I find this very impressive, I don't have anywhere near that much drive to get out there and pound the pavement. Go, go, go! Lark
  9. You are making a difference. Damn the torpedos full speed ahead!
