    It's time to explain

You don't need to be so tough on yourself Lynne or explain anything. Just be happy :) When the world brings you down, and hurtful words break your heart, don't turn around and walk away from who you are.... Stand up for your beliefs... trust in what you know, In yourself you'll find strength, not in another soul.... Life is full of chances... Some you'll surely take, though from some you'll learn a lesson, and those we call mistakes.... Just because someone tells you... that it can't be done, doesn't mean you must adhere, or that you should give up. What I want you to remember... and hold close to your heart, is that you can do anything if only you try.... it doesn't matter who you are.

  6. One day a farmer's donkey fell into an abandoned well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old and the well needed to be covered up anyway; so it just wasn't worth it to him to try to retrieve the donkey. He invited all his neighbours to come over and help him. They each grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. Realising what was happening, the donkey at first cried and wailed horribly. Then, a few shovelfuls later, he quieted down completely. The farmer peered down into the well, and was astounded by what he saw. With every shovelful of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing some thing amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up on the new layer of dirt. As the farmer's neighbours continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and trotted off, to the shock and astonishment of all the neighbours. Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to not let it bury you, but to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up! And finally, the donkey gave the farmer who tried to bury him a good kicking. Which brings me to another moral for this story - When you try to cover your ass, it always comes back and gets you. Author Unknown

    im so scarred

Here is a hug for every day of the week :D I'm sorry your evening was more than you were comfortable handling at this stage, you will come through this. It is like a job interview, sometimes you are lucky to not get the first position you apply for and a much better opportunity comes later on after you have had more practise with the interview process. Do you know what I mean? Don't throw in the towel after your first attempt. Keep progressing forward and you will be surprised at just how good life looks from your new vantage point :)

    im so scarred

We have all been etched by life. Your body is not all there is to you, in fact it is a very small part of where your power lies. Focusing on the outside shell, being sucked in by all that crap that is shoved down our throats by the media... don't allow it to take away from your spirit. They are all airbrushed and smoothed to a shiney new penny surface, that is not only fake but boring! Please don't continue to dwell on what you aren't, someone out there is waiting to love you, just keep your heart open so that you can recognize them when they come along :) *Smile, it makes people wonder what you are thinking. *Be a flower, forever blossoming

    Emotionally drained

It is truly awful that they have kept your prosthesis and you have had to delay your progress forward. Your dog's illness and his passing must have been an added strain and I am very sorry. You will be happy again, have faith! A little something to brighten your day ;) Did you crack a smile?

    What to wear!

You have a future with lots of wonderful things in it, everything changes, people who are smiling and happy all the time are crazy :P ;) Try and open a window or get outside, it is beautiful this time of year :D Might renew your spirit a bit. You can't have a better tomorrow if you are thinking about yesterday all the time. -* Charles F. 20. Nothing is more satisfying when you are annoyed at someone than getting outside and pulling a few weeds. Immediate stress reliever ;) Gardening, the digging, the raking the pulling really does take you mind off all the crap of a day and allows you to create in the soil :) Thank you for posting this Johnny, it was a good reminder, I need to get outside more B)
  21. In this day there is real and lasting treasure. Somewhere in the circumstances, the people, the moments, the experiences of today there is a unique and valuable gem that can bring much richness to your life. If you set out with the goal of just getting through today, you'll likely pass that treasure by without even seeing it. If you spend your energy on anger, envy, worry or gloominess, your eyes will be blinded to the goodness and value that could otherwise be yours. For today is a day when you can make positive, creative and beautiful things happen, if you will. Today is a day when you can add much meaning and substance to your world, if you choose. Like precious diamonds that are hidden beneath the ground, the most valuable treasures of this day are not immediately evident. Yet the more love, creativity and effort you put into life on this day, the more real value you will uncover. The most valuable treasures won't be found in those things from which you attempt to take. The real treasures will be in those things to which you give the best of who you are. Choose now to do more than simply get through this day. Choose to discover and to live its richest treasures. -- Ralph Marston Daily Motivator

    not tireed of legs

Hey, chin up! You can be happy again, try to get out of the house. It will not get better until you put the effort in to get away from temptation and into something that makes you feel good about yourself. Volunteer, take a course, do something that makes you interested in the future and how useful you are, to the world, yourself and your family...you are worth the effort :) A couple of quotes for you :) Your goals, minus your doubts, equal your reality. Remember that the challenges are not there to stop you. The challenges are there to help you grow.

    The meaning of a word!

As Lilo, in her own eloquent way says, "'Ohana means family. Family means no one is left behind - or forgotten." Whether related to you by birth or not, family are those who nurture and care about you. "The great thing about 'ohana' is that family is not defined by parents or uncles. It can be a whole community" Anyone you value is part of your "family" Thanks for getting us thinking about family Pat! :D
