  1. The Silence of the Amps

I have been busy with my cancer treatments. Had a CT early last week and an oncologist visit Friday. Will be starting new treatment in the next two weeks. Also been busy looking for a new car for the wife. Her car was 11 years old. Had paint damage from an accident a few years back and that's what totaled it. Nothing else wrong with it! Had the salvage title. Got a new car for her this weekend. Ed

  3. Hangar V- PIN System

It has been a little over a month now since getting the V-PIN system leg. I think it is GREAT! My legman at HANGER is one nolagible guy.

  5. BEST WAY TO DRY LINER WITHOUT DRYER

Neal, I have to wash these liners inside and out. Does the PVC you use the perferated type( with holes in it)? Does it have any type of heat under it? I have a total of six liners and will be getting two more.
  6. BEST WAY TO DRY LINER WITHOUT DRYER

Ed, I use a metal liner drying rack. It is like 2 circles connected by a thin dowel. it almost looks like a hat stand but the liner dries overnight. I found the ad in InMotion magazine. I think it was $20 JudyH Do you have a website for the drying rack??
  7. BEST WAY TO DRY LINER WITHOUT DRYER

What kind of liner are you using? I do kind of the same as Allen, am wearing an Alpha liner also. I just roll it inside out and wash the inside under the tap with soap and water, rinse off, and dry with a paper towel. Turn back to right way and then just put them upside down on the stand that comes with the liner. Its ready for use again almost immediately. I use the COMFORTZONE Ultra Cushion Gel Liner by Silipos. It has an inner gel sanwiched between the inner and outer layer of cloth it is 5 ply. The directions say to wash inside and out. It takes almost three days to air dry because I can not put them in the dryer. Does anyone have an idea how to make a heated dryiing rack???
  8. THE DIRECTIONS FOR DRYING THE LINERS SAY TO USE LOW HEAT ,MY DRYER DOES NOT HAVE A LOW HEAT SETTING. THE OTHER WAY IS TO LET DRIP DRY WHICH TAKES 4 DAYS TO DO. DOES ANYONE HAVE A BETTER WAY TO DRY THEM WITHOUT USING A DRYER? NEED SUGESTIONS! ED
  9. What do you use when your leg is OFF???

I use a walker. For someone in their 80s maybe a scooter chair.
  10. Hangar V- PIN System

I am in my new V-Pin socket. I had the socket laminated, looks great.Had problems with the liner socks tho, had to get a bigger size. My legman did a great job ,my hat is off to him.
  11. Did I miss the memo???

Thanks. I was actually born in Texas then moved to Chicago,Ill then back to Texas and now in Oklahoma. I am a Big Hockey fan in heart though. Ed

  13. Did I miss the memo???

Hang in there Ed....you will get through everything. Good luck with the new leg! Flip Thanks Flip!
  14. Did I miss the memo???

The type of chemo is called A.I.M. It has a life time limit to it and I am getting close to it,one or two more cycles. The tumors are shrinking as of last CT.
  15. Did I miss the memo???

Here I am getting ready for another chemo treatment. This is the eight month of this type of chemo. Can not do too much of anything because the chemo has weakend me. I am being fitted for a V-Pin socket now. I can not wear my Harmony E-pulse because it caused skin damage due to my low imune system.
