Choosing a Limb centre in the Midlands

Hi - I've been with the Nottingham Limb Ctr for 5 years now and have never had a problem. They've all always been keen to help and have assisted me with the 'odd' special part for my legs! The only very small critism is that you may have to wait 2-4 weeks between appointments, however this has been whilst waiting for a new fitment or leg. I can't recommend them enough - good luck!
  2. Hi - I had a road traffic accident in 2001 as a result of a hit & run (driver eventually caught), and my case was settled in 2006. It was complicated as they waited on several surgeons advice - I ended up with a RBK amputation. My solicitor was claiming against the MIB, but when the chav who hit was caught and admitted the offence, the case became more straightforward. I can only say this - keep on the case of your legal team, but sometimes the system does take its time. Good Luck
  3. Hi Thanks all for the advice - it's pointed me in the right direction thanks. Will keep you posted! Guy
  4. Hi - I'm a RBK amputee and I've been wearing a straight forward NHS prosthetic leg now for 4 years with very little problem. I came off worse after being left for dead after a hit and run with a boy racer! However, I'm wanting to get riding a sports motorbike again and although I've sorted a thumb rear brake system, I would like any advice on giving my knee maximum movement! I use a silicon sleeve and find this quite uncomfortable when I try to bend my knee - I'm due to see my prosthetist soon and could do with a basic idea of what I need please. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
