    am i getting old?

Ok recently i went to Sainsburys in my broom broom car and you have the disabled parking bays nr the front of the store (ring a bell? :) ) anyway i got there they was all taking so i looked closer to the cars and i see 6 cars out of 8 didnt have a "blue badge" i really thought about saying something to sainsburys (this aint on!!) Then i thought of a new business plan B) Tescos,Sainsburys,Asda etc which provid disabled parking should have a outside clamping firm (i would do it with my m8s for a minimal wage of £5.35 an hour) basicly every sod which dosnt have a blue badge? gets clamed and have to pay to have the clamp removed basicly nr all the money can go to diffrent disabled charitys of my choice or start a new clamping charity if needed :) Or am i getting too old? he!he! and need to chill out a bit!!

  5. ok today i got a electric bike as i was finding my push bike what i got recently was too much for me (but i am sure i be on it by next summer) anyway back to my electric push bike i got a low frame due to swinging my leg over and i sat on it (i was wow this feels nice) i straped my foot in, and went down my road and after a couple of seconds i put the power on and i was like "yes yes" its moving me!! anyway cut a long story short i just went round my town with ease! and i had the choice to pedal or not..this is the furthest i have ever been without a car or my rover v8 trike anybody which is like me? too weak for a normal bike? please think of one of these!! as its brilliant I paid £310 via e-bay with an offer, i was lucky as i live in Kent i collected it so saved postage as well http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Adults-Unisex-AL...1QQcmdZViewItem deffo worth a look i would say! i took the mudguards and other bits to make it look a bit more of looker :) it looks much better then the pic i would say

    Are you happy

my experince with the nhs has been bad, my big problems has been there right at the start i have always had wide legs, when i was 11.5 stone or at 18.5 stone lets go back to the start of 2002 (my first leg) my socket always used to rub my top inner private area and rub my "sorry for my langauge" my sack area and allways caused friction burns and sores also where my top of the socket is close contact to skin it causes boils, breakdown of skin(because of rubbing) plus i cant wear my leg for 3 to 5 days its too painfull to do so "ITS A CRAP LIFE" and if i went for a drive? i be in pain after 20 mins as it really digs in... its like aarrggghhhh i just want an easy life i am a pretty big framed guy and it seems that i cant have a socket which is a none or close contact " i have to have suction sockets" as the others just seem to fart and fall off :( i tried so many diffrent types of sockets, socks, via nhs but all have failed!! and for walking distance? i wont even go there anyway after about 3.5 years and 6-8 sockets i allways sufferd the same old thing but as time has gone by i have got bigger! as you can see by my weight above ........ i am 16.5 stone now so going back slowly the right way again anyway the good old nhs limb center said to me its my weight! ok i know it has some bearing i aint stupid! but hold on you sods i have always had the same problems before i started putting weight on but has got slightly worse over time.. so in my words RUBBHHISSHHH its the selection of sockets for people like me!! over 2005 till now i started to do things my own way "WHICH THE LIMB CENTER HATE" (1.) i wear my leg half on these days "basicly i dont pull my stump all the way in" because of this i had to chop a bit of my pole so it was the right length again (2.)silly thing like shoes i re adjust it my self when i change from a trainer to shoes as its out of line they expect me to do a 80 mile round trip just if i want to do that? ""Live in the real word guys!!" anyway cut a long story short i can go for long drives with no pain as i slightly losen the socket off my stump when i sit in car and because i aint laid up with sores i can do more in a day but to be totally honest i cant walk far at all!! but i am happy as i dont fill traped as before

    New C-leg from Sabolich

    I don't use Dorset Orthopaedic, so I can't comment I'm afraid... ;)

    New C-leg from Sabolich

I've got to put that right Paul... someone has badly mis-informed you... the Adaptive is rated for use on users weighing up to 125kg, which is just under 19 stone!!! Unless I've missed what you're getting at... there's no reason whatsoever that someone of 14 stone can't wear an Adaptive. And... I think Dorset Orthopaedic have many more C-Legs in use, more like 50 or 60 or more.... and there are (I believe) between 10 and 20 NHS C-Legs out there. oh wow thats good info, i am in that weight range as well......... do you go to dorset orthopaedics yopurself? i did go there once for my insurance claim to see how much legs was going to cost.. but at the time i wasnt in any mood to take in the info as i was really down in my life and thinking its going to be years till i get the claim sorted anyway. i have to speak to my care person to re freshen my mind on that visit

    interesting programme on sky

yeah have to be honest i find it hard moving more then 30m without pain or out of breath and i think wow i am only 33....and people automaticly think yeah false leg "bing heather mills enters most heads" and think oh yeah that aint nothing much losing a leg look at her........but i have to say its so much harder being a big guy because of weight bearing and being above knee in my circumstances but i do well doing things in my way over the last 2 years as i relised i cant do what i used to be able to do 5 years ago "before the dreaded day which changed my life" you just seem to get on with things and adapt to the new path which is set out in life!! i wont say thank you god! as i aint into that side of things or if i am going to pray to someone? it be my good old Irish nan Sadie... she just say from the heavens above .. stop bloody moaning and get on with it boy with a fag out of a gop coughing :) and looking at my spelling saying (told you should of went to school" Doh!!! :D what i have done in the last few years is switched the negs in to positives and i can proberly see most of us seem to go that way but it dosnt happen over night....... i am doing more things then what i didnt even do last year... i wont go into it as i be hear for ages typing.. but we are all human and somedays i do think only if or but .......but its a lot less now one thing i will always moan about is SNOW!!! i feel stranded when that stuff is around me cant go know where then :D my main thing i want to combat next year is to go abroad.. whats other peoples goals and things they wish they can do?

Not any harder than any other shoe, not easy to walk on, but you can. I really like the SPD pedals and shoe cleats, don't know how I did without them for so long! are these ok for aka? as i see its all bk which uses them...just over here in the Uk when you buy thinks like that they seem very reluctant to give refunds if they dont work..as its shoes

just got myself a new folding mountin bike a few days ago Yeah i like the idea of the valcro strap!!! have you seen them clips without straps? i havnt used them yet but getting them this week to try out........i am aka myself so i let you know how i get on..... well in the end the clips without straps was rubbish nice and easy to put foot in! i thought wicked! set off down the road and it was a.k.a same old dramas foot come out 4 times in about a 2000m bike rided....Doh!!!....i got velcro strap now and i find even that idea a bit of a nightmare... i cant seem to get on bike and strap it up myself as the velcro strap is allways hanging away from the foot :D so you allways need a friend to do it for me B) maybe i should strengthen the sides with wire so some of it stays ridged any ideas what to do on this one?
