Zaccheus was too small

Paul was too religious

Timothy had an ulcer...........

AND

Lazarus was dead!

I agree with mmarie on this one, sometimes even gods chosen people are flawed, and that GOD still loves us, even when we dont sometimes. Thanks Ally, it helps to be reminded of why God chose them and us.

Hi MJ - let me try to explain......this is a kind of tongue-in-cheek post, but very serious at the same time.

All these people were historically very very important in the Christian faith, they made history and were recorded forever as an example to people. Now, as important as they were, it was never said outright that they had problems - big problems! One has to read between the lines in the bible to see that they were really 'ordinary' and in fact, quite 'bad'. Point being, you don't have to be perfect to be special, or make a difference.

Thank the Lord for small mercies, I say. If all of history's famous people had to be perfect human beings first, then there would be no human-triumph history or inspiration.

:P

PS : if you aren't familiar with the bible, then this post would probably be a bit meaningless, sorry 'bout that.
