We, the humble Aussies, apologise in advance for our raucus and possibly embarrassing behaviour, as outlined in the "Aussies travelling abroad" guide. It will be easy to recognise us. We will be holding cocktails and mumbling words that you won't be able to understand. :D :D

You have been warned

Roll on June'06 :D

I second the motion Cat - we are not responsible for any behaviour you maynot recognise as human. We have researched this facility and found the bar already, tossed the coin and It's my shout first! Baton down the hatches.

Yep we're serious!

Hey Marie, Cat's locating a mini van right now that will handle all of our Mall shopping stuff-if that's not available we'll get a Ute.

Marianne-I think it's best to keep it a secret, but they'll know when we get there.

Mel.

I don't know how to do the quote thing.

Marcus says - should we all plan to go to the comedy club in the mall?

Will you and Muz be performing? :P

As it happens, I've been looking on the net for cheap flights to Minnesota today (MSP is the Airport Code thingy for the nearest airport to where the conference is being held).

At the moment, I am seriously thinking of attending!!! :D

I have found some flights (not that cheap, mind <_<), but then there's the hotel fares and also the cost of the attendance to the Conference itself. It looks like it might end up being a VERY expensive 2 weeks for me! :(

I'll see how my search goes and hope that I can become rich soon!!! ;)

Watch this space...

As it happens, I've been looking on the net for cheap flights to Minnesota today (MSP is the Airport Code thingy for the nearest airport to where the conference is being held).

One way to save money is to consider multiple airlines through a different city. MSP is the hub for Northwest which restricts competition on the route from there to London. Your best bet might be to fly into New York or Chicago (or at least someplace with cheap fares to London), and then look for a flight from there to MSP on Southwest, Jet Blue, or some other discount carrier. It doesn't always work, but its worth a try.

PS - I hope you can make it :)

Thanks for the tips, Marcus.

That makes lots of sense. I should have thought of that myself, but I suppose I was just thinking of the most direct route, which is silly really, when I'm on a budget.

I hope I can make it there too.

If I do, would you sign my feet for me, please?!!!!  ;)

The conference is only 3 days.

Marcus - if Cat brings her old leg maybe we could get in some target practice

Well, Afet, I failed the "quote" test. Maybe next time!

Quotes ... Paste the line you want to quote, then CTRL A (or select all) before you type anything else, then hit the quote button and the quote marks will be inserted in the correct place and you won't need to close the quotes either :)

Aaargh... What a shame... you nearly had it aswell!

I know, Marcia, but I figure that if I'm going to come all that way - and spend a small fortune getting there - I'm NOT going to stay just for the 3 days.

Might as well get my money's worth! B)
