Does anyone have an idea of the likely cost of an Ossur Iceross seal in liner?? Mine is on its last legs (pardon the pun)

Thx

The NHS will supply that won't they?

By the way, hello Martin isn't it? met you at Donington remember? long time no 'see'

Well hello there Ian how are you mate??

Yes I havent been on here for ages as i've been a busy bee.

My NHS centre say they only allow 1 per patient per year and are currently running over budget bla bla bla so I have to pay. They are making me a sport leg tho so im not going to moan as thats out of their usual standard practice.

What suspension do you use Ian? Im thinking of going to a pin lock instead

I'm fine thanks.... I have a total contact northvane suction socket in a polyprop container. I hoping soon to be recast and have a seal in liner, I haven't got room for a pin. With my turntable, I have my knee slightly low already.

Would you recommend the seal in liner?

The seal in liner is fantastic as it relieves skin thats prone to getting irritated and sore - providing you dont trim it down and just fold the top over the edge of the socket instead!

The drawback is that it can sometimes lose suction no matter how well fitted the socket is when running/cycling hard etc. and of course the cost, I heard that they are upwards of £800 which will really suck if so!!
